It’s still unclear when Apple Vision Pro will officially arrive in retail, which means the market remains in the hands of grey sellers, promoting this so-called “technology of the future” (© Tim Cook) the best way they can.
Sales of Vision Pro launched on February 2, 2024, but for now, the United States is the only market where the headset can be officially purchased. Prices start at $3499 for the 256GB base model, $3699 for the 512GB version, and $3899 for the 1TB version. Countries like Ukraine currently rely on resellers who add a significant markup — although last week prices in Ukraine finally began to drop.
At the beginning of February, most Ukrainian retailers and marketplaces listed Vision Pro for around 210,000 UAH, but as of February 22, listings below 170,000 UAH have started appearing, confirmed by price aggregators such as Hotline and E-Katalog Ukraine.
These reduced prices apply to the 256GB base configuration. The 1TB model is still priced around 250,000 UAH. Importantly, these offers are not pre-orders with full prepayment — sellers claim the devices are in stock, ready to be picked up or shipped on the same day the order is paid.
Apple generated significant hype when presenting its spatial computer styled like a ski mask. After the launch, social media filled with memes and videos of “people from the future” using the headset in unexpected places. However, many owners returned their Vision Pro units, citing discomfort due to size and weight, short battery life, and limited file support and app selection.
Apple has yet to announce an international release date for Vision Pro. Official Ukrainian distributor ASBIS-Ukraine has not informed retailers of shipment timelines either, so there is no clarity regarding when official units will appear in Ukraine or what they will cost.
Another issue with grey-market Vision Pro units is the lack of the full kit of 30 different face cushion inserts, which ensure a proper fit. When purchasing from unofficial sellers, the chances of getting the right sizing option are significantly lower.
