OLX Introduces a 1% + 10 UAH Sales Commission for OLX Delivery Starting August 1 in the “Home and Garden” Category, With Other Categories to Follow

OLX, an online marketplace for buying and selling goods and services, is introducing a sales commission for its “OLX Delivery” service.

Starting August 1, the commission will initially apply only to the “Home and Garden” category (a test launch took place on July 20). Later, the 1% + 10 UAH tariff plan will be expanded to all sections of the platform. The commission applies only to successful sales and transactions where the buyer has paid for the order online.

A similar fee was previously charged for the “Safe Deal” service on OLX. Instead of paying a financial partner’s commission for secure money transfers during transactions without “Safe Deal,” this cost has been integrated into the OLX Delivery service. The fee amounts to one percent of the item’s price plus ten hryvnias.

Buyers pay this cost because “Safe Deal” is a service provided to them. Although the new commission is intended for sellers, buyers will still be responsible for covering it.

OLX technical support representatives have confirmed this information.

Facebook users have also noticed the changes. The company’s SMM team responded to mentions of the new seller commission with an official statement outlining OLX’s successes and challenges since February 2022.
